I was not pleased with the way this went!!!
I was unfortunately scammed, with this system. I was looking into ADT or Brinks and just keeping my options opened then a guy came to my door from APX. He gave me a good presentation but he told me it was a 2 year contract then I found out it was 5 years!! Sure I should plan on having a system for a while but if any emergency came up then I would want the flexibility to cancel.
He also lied to me about the monitoring and said it would be 35 a month but it was 49 a month!!! So i called him up through the company and he said it was because I had the cell unit, when I told him i just wanted the rate of 35.. He also lied about the motion sensor. He told me it would cover my kitchen and living room but it only covered my living room. He also said it was "pet immuned" but my dogs kept setting it off!!! It might work if i had a smaller dog!
The most was that he he could only give me 1 motion and 2 doors for free so i paid for another sensor, but then i found out he gave my neighbor 3 doors and 1 motions with a key remote for free with no activation!!!
It was lame how he scammed me...
My advice, Don't go with APX or at least just know the in and outs of APX 49 a month and 5 year contract because I have heard some offers from other companies to be a bit better.

APX Alarms have been installing and selling (usually door-to-door) security systems since 1999, with monitoring centers in Utah and Minnesota. (These "in-house" central stations are quite new for APX, so older clients may still be monitored by ADT, SAI, Criticom, or Monitronics). Please remember that APX Alarms has thousands of other clients that may (or may not) be happy with their service, and this is only a small sampling of the opinions of their customers.
