We got a knock at our door last night around 6pm.
Salesman was a nicely dressed younger man and he very unagressively offered a few fliers about the alarm system, and said that they were trying to promote in the area and were offering a free system with free installation. The main point that he brought was the fact that the alarm system didn't require a home phone, as my wife and I are cell phone only users. I was also sold on the internet access abilities, and cell phone enabled functionality.
I invited him in (to get out of the 90+F heat) and he continued to provoke a sale. He never got pushy or aggressive. One hour later, I was signing paperwork. One hour after that, an installer was at the house, ready to put it all together. We ended up getting the touch screen main panel, a 2nd smaller control panel, smoke/fire detector, motion detector, 3 doors, and 6 window sensors.
We've had the system for 24 hours now, and are satisfied so far. It is around $15/month cheaper than any other monitored alarm system, and even cheaper considering I don't need to pay around $25-30 a month for a home phone line. I even got a text message from the salesman this morning, following up and making sure I was satisfied with the installation.
I've read many reviews about how this company is bad and messes up the financial aspect, so I've got my fingers crossed.
