I live in an area that has since become a haven for "out of town" and deadbeat landlords. What was once a nice area has become dotted with slumlords who dont care about their properties or who the rent to.
Not too long ago, someone attempted to break into the house across the street - a young couple live there with their infant son. Thankfully their stormdoor window didnt yield to the brick that was bashed against it. The intruder ran off however it opened my eyes to my own vulnerability. I gave the idea of an alarm system a great deal of thought - even asking other neighbors who had systems what they thought.
I had the chance to speak with several agents from other companies and went with APX. I was impressed right from the start with the professional and courteous sales people who took the time to work with me - instead of forcing me into a contract. I never felt that I was being coerced into a sale. Ultimately, the day came for the installation and again - I am completely satisfied with the job done by their technician. He went about his business, explaining step by step what he was doing and showed me, top to bottom, how to use my new system. I even decided that I needed to add-on to my sensors (an oversight on my part) and contacted the installer who came by the next day. This system is completely expandable to meet my needs as my household changes.
On the few instances where I inadvertently set off the alarm, the response was immediate and the monitoring rep was considerate and polite. My sincerest thank to APX and their reps for giving me back my peace of mind.
