This is my experience with APX:

The salesman came to our door around 7:00PM at night. I was cooking dinner and we were about to eat. My husband answered the door. He told us that they were looking at our neighborhood since crime was on the rise. That caught my attention as our house had just been vandalized 2 weeks earlier. Now I am now wondering if this was not done by these kids. I wanted to eat and told him to come in.

As we sat on the table to talk he started his speech. We ask a lot of question. He did mention the 3 day cancellation policy and also we could cancel at any time. I ask several times to see the contract and kept on saying that he had just this copy from another customer that just signed and could not show me this one but that someone else would be here soon to bring him another copy. The other person did show up with a copy of the contract. So we did end up signing in as we felt pressure by the salesman.

The installer came and did some damages to our hardwood floor that we had just finishing installing the week prior. I had not agreed for them to do this. They said we will fill out a damage report. It took 3 days for the installer to come back and take a picture of the damage and have us fill out the damage report. He said I would be getting a call the next day not to mention that he came to our house at 10:30PM. The call happened a week later. I got the appraisal that they ask. I am still waiting for my money.

At this point I am not thrilled with the service. I also called them to say that I would be testing the system. So I did and they did call me. But when giving them my password they said it was incorrect. Then I spell the word out to them and only then they believe that they made a mistake. I am just not impressed. Then I ask about cancellation to one of their rep. Yeah I think it is clear to me that I am unable to cancel at any time. I sign for 39 months but because the contract says 72 months I am stuck with it. I am now talking to my lawyer to see what my rights are. Everyone was always nice with me until I mention the word cancellation. I would say do not get this system because of the misrepresentation of their rep.
