

Like many other people I was deceived and outright lied to by the APX salesman.
He assured me I had 3 months to cancel the contract if I changed my mind. When I changed my mind, I discovered they had no such policy. He also told me the monthly charge would be $39.99 a month, but it ended up being $49.99.
I have talked to people at APX a few times to no avail. There seems to be no communication between their departments, and every time I would have to start over from the beginning. Recently I received a letter from them requesting a cancelled cheque. I had given one to the salesman when I (unfortunately) signed up. They said they were legally required to have one. Considering the lack of ethics on the part of the salesman I have concerns about the fate of my original cheque.
To sum up, I get the impression of a company that encourages unethical salesmanship and then won't deal with it by telling you they don't honor verbal agreements.
3 Month Update:
The company refuses to deal with the issues and apparently condones the deceptive tactics of their salesmen. The issue is an ethical one, and I cannot recommend this company.
