APX salesmen will tell you anything to get the sale.
We got our system installed April 2008. I was finishing school and we were putting our house up for sale a few weeks later. The APX salesman sold us on their offerings. The biggest selling point was regarding our concern about moving. Our plan was to sell the house, move into a rental for about six months before buying again. The salesman told us APX offers a chance to suspend service for people with situations like ours. Perfect!...not really.
Long story short, we finally sold our home three months later and when I called to "suspend" our alarm service, we were informed by APX customer service they offer no such service. Now we are stuck paying for service we are not able to use. This is not what we signed up for.
I know legally the salesman can tell us anything he wants, and we are responsible for reading the fine-print of what we signed. Who can you trust anymore??? Is there not a company with ethics around anymore? Did I also mention the original three installers left our system not working for a "night at the bars"...that is all they kept talking about while working. When 8 PM came, they handed us the user manual and told us it was ready and split. Had to call support and wait another 3 days to get someone else back to our home to finish the job.
Save yourself some headaches. I DO NOT recommend APX.
