I am in trial period with Apx alarms. I have read the reviews on the website. Thanks for posting them. As many of you were lured into the service same thing happened. A sales rep walked up to me and explained about the alarm service. He was a young guy but very open and answered my questions. I have monitoring with ADT and the honeywell/ademco equipment already in place.The Honey well that he was selling was same technology. Upon being asked he did say that he was with APX and they use honey well products. He offered the system free of charge just to use the APX sign on the lawn which I thought is good deal.
The package included the GPS cell backup,motion detector,door alarm and smoke and fire detector with two key fobs and additional wall key panel for upstairs. They were able to reprogram the current ones to be used with the system. All in all good package. Once I took it. I was reading reviews and got panicked and read the agreement and whola it states 5 years. I called them and asked about it. The rep who sold the system left his contact number. upin asking about the contract he said he can rewrite the contract for short term. So withing the trial period the contract was rewritten for 3 years and the customer service is exceptional. The system has a two way system where they come through your system if anything happens to confirm if things are ok.
When contract rewritten the trial period was also extended to one week on my request for me to get satisfied with the system to see how things are working. So far no problem and great system with exceptional customer service. They have offered me two months of monitoring free.
So far so good.
