I had a door to door salesman visit me yesterday from APX.
He was very nice and seemed very informative...until I started reading these reviews today. What ***** failed to tell me is that I was bound to a 5 year contract. We were in the middle of a cookout (very obvious to *****), and I did not take the time to read the contract in his presence. The only thing ***** told me is I had to have the system at least a year, and if after that year I decided to move APX would move my system for free. Had he told me about the 5 year contract in the 2 hours he was at my house...I would have no problem at this point since I mainly bought it for the fire protection for my indoor dogs. But since I found out via reviews on a web site..I called to cancel my service tonight. I was informed I had to fax or mail the cancellation on Monday..and it had to be there by the 23rd in order to cancel.
I'll let you know if I have any further problems since I plan to fax as well as overnight the cancellation notice.
