APX will install your alarm, but your monitoring will be provided by Security Associates International (www.sai-inc.com), who operate two monitoring centers in the U.S. (Pompano, FL, and Arlington Heights, IL). Customer Review For APX Alarms (Con't):
We had this promotional system installed on 06/23/2008. Went out of town on 06/27/2008 and set it for the first time around 8:00am. When we got off the plane, we checked our phones and we had two false alarm calls at 10am and 10:15am.
The rep said it was probably a fly in the house WHAT???? What about the 80lb. limit and the fact that the rep clearly said it was fine to leave our 21lb dog out when it was armed. The dog was not in the house at this time! So, of course my 3 days was up by that time. I talked to them today about that and a few other things. They gave me the typical 2 options to get out of the contract.
I have notified the BBB and will wait for a responce. BTW, have you checked them out on BBB? 982 complaints in the past 36 months. Man, I wish I had seen that before my 3 days was up!!
3 Month Update:
The company responded to us after we notified the BBB. They did offer to take the system out of our home, and cancel our contract. They have done so since. To our surprise they also refunded our credit card for the 3 monthly fees that we had paid.
