Beware this company!!!

They sold a system to my companion who does not own any part of my home.  He signed a contract and signed my name, APX ran my credit and installed a system the same day.  I was away at work-related events and did not know about this until way after the fact.  They are holding me responsible unless I file a police report against my companion for falsely signing my name.

This company has been cited for unethical business practices with investigative TV reports in several major cities.  Seems to me, before they install anything anywhere they would want to be sure they are speaking and dealing with the actual homeowner.  My companion is disabled due to a mental condition and I try to watch for problems, but this one came out of the blue.  APX had a salesman going door to-door and he gave my companion a convincing sales pitch.  He was not aware that he was commiting me to a 5 year contract or even what the monthly cost was.  They also told him my home insurance would be reduced by 15-20%.  Not quite!  State Farm will reduce by 10% which will make about 3 payments per year.  Seems to me a salesman should question the authority of someone signing someone else's name and if they were ethical, they would call back at a later date when the homeowner of record was present.

If these people come to your door, tell them to hit the road...
