APEX Direct are based in Ontario, Canada and serve B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick.  They are allegedly the largest ADT dealer in Canada, although we have not confirmed this.  APEX Direct will install your system, but monitoring and service will be provided by ADT corporate.  Please remember that APEX Direct has thousands of other clients that may (or may not) be happy with their service, and this is only a small sampling of the opinions of their customers.

(Added June 4/11) A Rebuttal from Apex Direct: As part owner of Apex Direct (Authorized ADT dealer) I would like to take the opportunity to rebut the two reviews that were posted on May 4, 2011. I would ask that anyone considering the services of Apex Direct please read all of our reviews. I think that you will find that the two reviews posted on May 4th are inconsistent with our prior reviews and our Better Business Bureau A+ rating.
I would also like to point out the following details of these reviews that seem suspect:    
1.  Both reviews posted on the same day (coincidentally) have similar spelling and grammatical errors.
2.  Both reviews (coincidentally) suggest customers call ADT corporate. The reviews state, "Go directly with ADT" and "I recommend going directly with ADT for a few dollars more".  Both seem to end their review with a passive advertisement to consider ADT corporate offers.
3. The suggestion that our technician installed an alarm panel 2 feet off the floor is unrealistic. This location would be physically uncomfortable for our technician to install. He would have to lie on his belly or sit on the floor hunched over to install the unit. As well, our certified installers are audited and this unauthorized practice would result in our technician’s certification to be revoked and loose his job.
4.  There is a common falsehood listed in the review that "dealers use refurbished equipment". This is propagated in the review to discredit our equipment quality. As an Authorized ADT Dealer, Apex Direct is not approved to use refurbished equipment. If we used refurbished equipment we would loose our dealership.
I feel these are untrue slanderous reviews designed to discredit Apex Direct and act as passive advertisements. Everyone has the right to express their opinion but I feel that a review is an inappropriate forum to suggest/advertise the services of another company

(Added May 4/11) Apex Direct is lousy to deal with. You get all lie information from them over the phone..No initial visit to determine needs and the installer is naive & uninterested in helping or suggesting requirements. The installed the panel just few feet above ground level on main floor which is easily accessible by small kids to raise false alarms. Apex Direct Canada is bunch of useless people merely interested in selling you ADT contract and latter uninterested in service, warranty or any customer service. Go directly with ADT..If u bargain hard ADT does meet prices and equipment offered by Apex..and infact u get free 2 months by ADT..bargain hard...there are many competitors...But avoid APEX Direct at all cost. ..
(Added May 4/11) Apex Direct Calgary is garage company to deal with. Once agreement is signed they just try to get the job doe in a hurry without interest is what customer needs. They lied me claiming remotes were capable to on/off of zones which after install and contract sign I was told was false. watch for the equipment they used..During install at my house many were not functional which they figured out during testing and replaced...thus I feel they use refurbished or used equipment. I recommend going directly with ADT for a few dollars more. Apex has the most unprofessional installers.
(Added March 22/11) Installation was easy, it works fine except once when I opened the door it didn't chime and alarm didn't go off.
(Added Jan 26/11) The service was very professional and took there time to make sure everything was done properly.  The price was great at least 1/3 of the cost of the same system in Florida.  I was very impressed with the service and the speedy return calls when I had questions.  A big thank you for giving us the confidence when travelling.
(Added Jan 25/11) Our experience with ADT has been great, no problems to report. Questions that we have are always answered in an efficient and friendly response.
(Added Jan 15/11) I have had a few issues with my installation as well as billing. The installer was very friendly and helpful, however it was not installed correctly and we had issues with setting the alarm for the first week. I contacted Apex and they sent out the same installer to correct the issue. We have had no problems since. As for the billing issue, I was told I would be charged for the installation on my credit card but would also receive a credit at the same time so I wouldn't be chanrged anything for installation. But once my credit card bill came I saw a $100 charge on my credit card but no credit. I had to call the alarm company to issue the credit. The credit was issued immediately. I do not believe I should have to do so much follow up with a company to provide me the correct service. All in all I was impressed with the customer service and how fast they responded when I has issues.
(Added Nov 16/10) I would say that the sales person ***** from Apex Direct was very proffessional (w/Integrity) and takes care of his customers. He meant what he said and did what he said. He got back to me right away with an explanation of all that was included in the system. Answered all my question's promptly.

I am sorry to say that the other three companies had terrible customer service and the sales people lacked integrity completely. I like customer service and it represent's the company they work for. We as consumers are not lacking in knowledge anymore with all the information at our finger tips. Sales people need to pay attention to this. We can do our homework before hand.  Anyway, the installer was very efficent and knew what he was doing, as far as I could see. He made sure I was comfortable in knowing how to work the system before he left. He answered any questions I had. He didn't leave a mess anywhere.  I had a call from ADT within a day or two to set some of the details up and in place. Overall a 10, so far. It worked fine when I tested it by mistake one day.
(Added Oct 29/10) I got a prompt response and immediate installation of my home ADT security system.  I enjoying of peace of mind while away from home.
(Added Oct 27/10) ***** from Apex Direct was professional, competent, fast, responsible and clear.  He gave me an excellent offer.  He dealt immediately with a problem of my getting a credit due to me (Though I still have to check yet if I have received it.)  There is a problem with the installed system and am waiting for AlarmGuard installer to call me with an appt to fix it.  The service from Apex Direct was fabulous.
