I'm just going to let you know ADT is the best alarm company out there by far.
My system works great never had any problems. Been in business for over 130 years, 85% of the fortune 500 companies, also got the federal judge program. We protect all the federal marshals and federal judges no one else in the United States does that. Interconnected monitoring centers is a big deal, if one goes out we've got you covered. We've got 6 all-together (2 in Canada and 4 in the States). We are also UL listed (Underwriters Laboratory, a nonprofit organization). We pay them to test our equipment, we have 27 UL listings mainly installation monitoring and our products all UL listed.
One thing I don't understand is why people think that they owe them new equipment after so many years of being a customer. For example, one customer just spent $62,000 on a new kitchen and wanted new motion sensors because they were old (this was brought to his attention by the person installing his kitchen). He said just call your alarm company up and have them give you new ones.
He did (and) got me. (He was) saying "I'm such a good customer"; Told him we can do new ones at $170.00 each. He quoted the motions work fine but were dirty. I will go with another alarm company take some responsibility people.
For you people with alarms not working, I work for ADT and they recommend that you test your system once a month. Also, If you have problems call the 800 number and ask for the main office number in your area. This is easy to do. I would have no problem coming out myself to help.
Anyone in our office would do the same.
