Review For: ADT Security Services (Con't)
This ADT customer review has been submitted anonymously by a present or former ADT burglar alarms client.  Please note that ADT uses a sub-dealer program, which usually means that a local company will install and service your alarm, and ADT will monitor it.  So a review listed here may not be for or against corporate ADT, but a completely independent local dealer.  If you submit a review, please indicate whether the review is regarding ADT corporate, or the local company who installed your system.

NOTE:  If you are submitting an ADT alarm review, please specify the local company that installed it, if applicable.

Recent Review For ADT Alarms (con't):
We called ADT directly, and an ADT sales person came out and discussed everything in detail about the system we are getting.  Not a month went by that one of the sensors ADT installed started to malfunction, it would set the alarm off and the police would be dispatched. I called ADT to set up a date/time for them to come out and check it out. The first three appointments the tech was a no show/no call.  Then fourth time, the tech was a no call no show but I called ADT and demanded I have a tech out there at my home in the next 30 minutes or ADT can take their system back. I had a tech that lived down the block at my house in 15 minutes.

Next issue was another sensor that went bad, I had the same experience in trying to get a tech out, I had to demand again (after 2 no show/calls) that ADT send out a tech in a time frame or they could come and take the system.

This time it's for the AMPS conversion, I have tried for the past 6 months to get a tech out, the first two times, the tech was a no show but I was called an hour and a half later to tell me the tech would not be there, I then rescheduled and was called a month before that the tech would not be out and rescheduled.

The fourth time I rescheduled the tech called me and told me the center he needs to work with for this conversion is not opened past 5:00p so he could not come out. I proceeded to call ADT and they fed me the same story. I scheduled for another day during the week in the morning so I had to take a day off from work and ADT was a no show. I called ADT back and was told that the tech was in another town and would not be able to get to my house in the time they told me. I informed ADT if the tech is an hour or so away from the next job, common sense would tell the tech to call the next customer and let them know not to wait, ADT will not be out there because they are still at another job over an hour away.  You would think ADT would schedule these jobs to keep the techs in the same general area, not send them in every direction under the sun.

All the call center people I have spoken to act like they do not care and just ask if you want to reschedule.

This is my last attempt at rescheduling and if ADT does not arrive at my house as I have requested, the call I make to ADT is going to be to cancel the system. They were very prompt to install the sytem but when it comes down to maintenance, they just plain suck. I would not recommend ADT to anyone.
